Our School

Sinclair Secondary School serves students in grades 9-12 in Whitby, Ontario.

Located in Whitby Ontario, Sinclair Secondary School has been providing students with a caring, secure, intellectual and creative learning environment since 1994. The structure of our school is built around that of the one-room red-brick school house erected in 1874, preserving the past while moving into the future.

Sinclair values its multicultural community. We work closely with the community and with a wide range of resource groups and agencies in Whitby and the Durham Region. Learning and teaching will be explored in recognition of the fact that students have different learning needs. Students will have the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to achieve personal fulfilment and to contribute positively in a global society.

To foster the integration of curriculum and the creation of a positive school environment, emphasis will be placed on collaborative planning by teachers. Programs will be designed to promote the ability of students to function effectively in a dynamic society in which accessing, communicating and using information is of primary importance.

Transportation, pick-up and drop-off

Help us support a culture of respect and harmony by reinforcing school bus and transportation safety. When driving your child(ren) to and from school, please use designated drop-off and pick-up locations. When using these locations, please wait outside for your child.
